Peter Harris

I teach classes on international security, US foreign policy, International Relations theory, and qualitative research methods. I'm available to advise students (both graduate and undergraduate) on these topics and more. Most of my research focuses on US foreign relations in the Indo-Pacific region, especially US-China relations and the politics of overseas military bases. I'm from Wigan in the northwest of England, and came to Fort Collins via Edinburgh, Vancouver, London, Texas, and Indiana. My favourite band is Oasis. My favourite films are Withnail and I, 24 Hour Party People, and Trainspotting. I don't like Halloween, films about comic book heroes, mowing the lawn, or raking leaves. I love teaching and helping students plan for their futures. I'm lucky to have the best job in the world.
