Madeline Montgomery Dale
<b>Madeline Montgomery Dale</b> (1918-2003) is the author of the historical novel <i>Southern Cross</i> (published 1998). A native of the Chicago area, she attended <a rel="nofollow" class="external text" href="http://shimer.edu">Shimer College</a>, then located in Mount Carroll, where she completed her studies in 1938. She later worked as a photographic model before marrying, moving with her husband to Minneapolis and Boston, and ultimately to Florida in retirement.
