Benedicte Mauguiere

Bénédicte Mauguière (Doctorat, Université Paris IV-Sorbonne). Chair and Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Colby College. She is Vice-President for the Americas and Asia-Pacific of the Association Internationale des Etudes Québécoises (AIEQ); Past Director (2000-2009) of the Conseil International d’Etudes Francophones (CIEF), the largest academic association in Francophone Studies. She has organized dozens of international conferences, received numerous awards and grants and serves on several Editorial boards (Quebec Studies, Nouvelles Etudes Francophones (NEF)...). She is the author of Cultural Identities in Canadian Literature; Traversée des idéologies et exploration des identités dans les écritures de femmes au Québec (1970-1980). Her research focuses on Minority Issues, Diasporic Identities, transnational and transcultural literatures.
