This book presents the first Spanish translation of the most ancient and trustworthy texts which shed light on the mystery of Mary Magdalene. These texts reveal her importance as a beloved disciple of Jesus, as well as apostle and evangelist in her own right. They also reveal a vibrant oral tradition in which Mary Magdalen is not only a follower of Jesus, but his companion and closest disciple, a figure whose relevance to Christianity is just beginning to emerge from the shadows of history.
