My heart's in the Highlands

A very dated but rather charming account of a privileged American college girl's junior year abroad at a Scottish university at a time when Britain is still recovering from the privations of war. She misunderstands and irritates her fellow students, falls for the male embodiment of the Highland mystique, is humbled, made nicer, learns a lot, etc.
