In search of Genghis Khan

In 1989 Tim Severin set off on a journey to cross Mongolia with a band of native horsemen, intent on re-enacting the feat of the 13th-century courier-riders who served Genghis Khan. This is an account of his gruelling trek, on which he discovered that Genghis Khan is the subject of a renewed cult.
