Taking democracy seriously

Although unions are widely recognised as key actors in the transition to democracy in South Africa, remarkably little research has been done on their expectations. This book reports on the findings of a nationwide survey, conducted in April 1994, into worker expectations of democracy. It is the first in a three part study.
