The New York Times of March 14, 1982, in a front-page article describes the emergence of "mainstream evangelicals" as a major force in U.S. Protestantism. Citing Carl F.H. Henry, it lists first among the four challenges facing Evangelicals today the question of biblical authority. Scripture and Truth is a serious and competent contribution to dialogue and reflection on this important issue. --
