Metallica's early success was built on searing guitars, intricate songwriting and dynamic drumming. With the determination and passion of the founding members added to this, alongside furious live performances and a hard-working mentality, Metallica recorded some of the genre's most powerful music; they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
