Gabrielle's story

In 1815, eleven-year-old Gabrielle de Saint-Aubain is caught on the fringes of the Battle of Waterloo and separated from her family. Through acts of kindness she gives and receives, Gabrielle survives and eventually returns to her home and learns the truth of what happened to her family.
