Maggie, Girl of the Streets is an American novella by Stephen Crane. Maggie is a young girl from the Bowery in New York City who is kicked out of her tenement and eventually becomes a prostitute and dies in the streets. Maggie is a classic example of American fiction during the period of industrialization.
