Blood on the Rio Grande (Slocum Series #207)

Ten thousand dollars, a lovely young lady, and trading with an army of ruthless banditos all sounds good to Slocum, because he has a date with death in no-man's-land! A cut-throat band of revolutionaries storms across the Rio Grande and ambushes the ranch of a wealthy citizen of Laredo, Texas. They make off with several hundred horses and a young beauty whose father puts up a reward of $10,000 for her rescue. John Slocum finds the challenge irresistible.
