Southeast Asian Urbanism

The book is based on field research in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore. It combines micro analysis of subsistence production in slum areas and urban symbolism with macro studies of strategic groups, social ecology and power structures in urban Southeast Asia.
