North American Aerospace Defense Command
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (commonly abbreviated to NORAD NΟR-ad; ; ') is a bi-national mutual defense organization in Canada and the United States. Established 12 September 1957 as the North American Air Defense Command', NORAD is headquartered at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado, which also serves as the headquarters of United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM).

RDS-37 () was the Soviet Union's first two-stage hydrogen bomb, first tested on 22 November 1955. The weapon had a nominal yield of approximately 3 megatons. It was scaled down to 1.6 megatons for the live test.
