The story centers on two brothers on the run from a posse, led by a local sheriff who wants to arrest the runaways and free a hostage whom they took along the way. They head into the wrong territory, which is controlled by "Bandoleros".

Amblin'
Amblin' is a 1968 American short film written and directed by Steven Spielberg. It was Spielberg's first completed film shot on 35 mm. The film is a short love story set during the hippie era of the late 1960s about a young man and woman who meet in the desert, attempt to hitchhike, become friends, then lovers, make their way to a beach, and part ways. It later became the namesake for Spielberg's production company, Amblin Entertainment.

Psych-Out is a 1968 American psychedelic film about hippies, psychedelic music and recreational drugs starring Susan Strasberg, Jack Nicholson (the film's leading man despite being billed under supporting player Dean Stockwell), Bruce Dern, Adam Roarke, and Max Julien. It was produced and released by American International Pictures. The film was directed by Richard Rush, and the cinematographer was László Kovács. The bands Strawberry Alarm Clock and The Seeds can be seen playing within the music and dance scenes throughout the film.

Firecreek
Firecreek is a 1968 American Western film directed by Vincent McEveety and starring James Stewart and Henry Fonda, the latter in his first of two roles that year as a villain (the second being Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West). The film is similar to High Noon in that it features an entire town that refuses to help a peace officer against outlaws. Stewart plays an unlikely hero, forced into action when his conscience will not permit evil to continue. The supporting cast features Inger Stevens, Dean Jagger, Ed Begley, Jay C. Flippen, Jack Elam and John Qualen.
