Andaaz () is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Raj Kanwar and produced by Suneel Darshan. It stars Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra. It is written by Robin Bhatt, Shyam Goel and Jainendra Jain. It features Lara Dutta in her debut film. Shot extensively in West Indies, Andaazs promotion centered around it being the acting debut of two beauty queens together for the first time, which Darshan considered was the film's main selling point.

Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women () is a 2003 Indian dystopian tragedy film written and directed by Manish Jha. The film examines the impact of female feticide and female infanticide on the gender balance and consequently the stability and attitudes of society. Its storyline bears some resemblance to real-life instances of gender imbalance and economics resulting in fraternal polyandry and bride buying in some parts of India. It depicts a future in an Indian village populated exclusively by males due to female infanticide over the years.

Gangaajal: The Holy Weapon () is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language crime drama film written, directed, co-produced and edited by Prakash Jha. It revolves around the Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar (Ajay Devgn) who takes charge of the fictitious district of Tejpur, Bihar, known for its high crime rate and organised crime carried out by dons Sadhu Yadav (Mohan Joshi) and Sunder Yadav (Yashpal Sharma). Due to the local police's slow response to crimes, residents of the district resort to pouring acid in the eyes of the criminals as an instrument for extrajudicial justice.
