Suzume
is a 2022 Japanese animated coming-of-age fantasy adventure film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. The film is the third and final installment of Shinkai's disaster trilogy, following Your Name (2016) and Weathering with You (2019), the film follows 17-year-old high school girl Suzume Iwato and young stranger Souta Munakata, who work together to prevent a series of earthquakes across Japan by closing and sealing doors from an ancient colossal, supernatural worm that causes earthquakes after hitting the ground.

Aníkúlápó is a 2022 Nigerian epic fantasy film produced by Kunle Afolayan and distributed by Netflix. Released on 30 September 2022, it stars Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale, Hakeem Kae-Kazim and Taiwo Hassan. The film was shot in Oyo State and Afolayan has described the work as a "Game of Thrones recreated in Nigeria but with a better representation of our culture (Yoruba culture)".

Bhediya: Jungle Mein Kaand (; ) is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language comedy horror film directed by Amar Kaushik. Produced by Dinesh Vijan from a story and screenplay by Niren Bhatt, it stars Varun Dhawan alongside Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, Deepak Dobriyal and Paalin Kabak. The plot of the film is inspired by Arunachal Pradesh folklore about a Yapum, a shape-shifting werewolf, who wants to protect the jungle, even if they have to kill somebody. This marks the second collaboration between Dhawan and Sanon since Dilwale (2015). It is the second installment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.
