The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond is a 2026 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah through Sunshine Pictures. A sequel to the 2023 film The Kerala Story, it stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia and Aishwarya Ojha as three women who become victims of an abusive plot after marrying outside their religion.

Assassination of Ali Khamenei
On 28 February 2026, Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, was assassinated in Tehran as part of a series of Israeli airstrikes aimed at high-ranking Iranian officials. Khamenei's death was confirmed by the Iranian government on 1 March. His death occurred as part of a wider joint operation by the United States and Israel, using strategic locations intelligence from the US's Central Intelligence Agency to determine the whereabouts of several leaders. Satellite imagery suggested that Khamenei's residence in the city was severely damaged during the attack.

The 79th British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as the BAFTAs, were held on 22 February 2026, honouring the best national and foreign films of 2025, at the Royal Festival Hall within London's Southbank Centre. Presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, accolades were given for the best feature-length films and documentaries of any nationality that were screened at British cinemas in 2025.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge
Dhurandhar: The Revenge, also referred as Dhurandhar 2, is a 2026 Indian Hindi-language spy action-thriller film written and directed by Aditya Dhar. It is produced by Dhar, Lokesh Dhar, and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. It is a sequel to the 2025 film Dhurandhar and the final installment of a duology. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Danish Pandor, and Manav Gohil, with several actors reprising their roles from the first film. It follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent who continues to infiltrate Karachi's criminal syndicates and Pakistani politics while avenging the 26/11 attacks and confronting larger threats.

The relationship of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway with the American convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has become a major scandal for the Norwegian royal family. The pair were introduced in 2011 and maintained close contact until 2014. Media first reported on the relationship in 2019 in the context of the indictment against Epstein in 2019. At the time Mette-Marit minimized the contact, claimed a lack of knowledge of his crimes, and claimed to have broken off contact in 2013, a claim later disproven.

Haq (transl. Right) is a 2025 Indian Hindi-language courtroom drama film directed by Suparn Verma. It stars Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi, alongside Sheeba Chaddha in a pivotal role. Produced by Vineet Jain, Vishal Gurnani, Juhi Parekh Mehta, Vicky Jain and Harman Baweja under the banners Junglee Pictures, Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios respectively. It is inspired by journalist Jigna Vora’s book Bano: Bharat ki Beti which is based on the landmark Supreme Court judgement of Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum. The film’s screenplay was written by Reshu Nath, with music composed by Vishal Mishra, cinematography by Pratham Mehta and editing by Ninad Khanolkar.

Parasakthi is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language political action drama film directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Aakash Baskaran of Dawn Pictures. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa and Sreeleela. Set mainly in 1964, it follows two brothers protesting the promotion of Hindi as India's national language, but face threats from a brutal Intelligence Bureau officer.
