Adergoudounbadēs (, before 488 – 541) was a prominent Sasanian nobleman, general, and kanarang during the reigns of Kavadh I (r. 488–531) and Khosrow I (r. 531–579). His life is known only through the work of the Byzantine historian Procopius. His native name was probably Adurgundbad (in New ), an abbreviation of Adurgushnaspbad. Pourshariati records the native name as Ādhargulbād ().
Carileph of Anille
Carilef (French Calais, Latin Calevisus; died 541) was a hermit who founded the monastery of Aniole. The town of Saint-Calais takes its name from him. According to his ancient biography, the Vita Carileffi, King Childebert I granted him lands after encountering the hermit in a forest where the king was hunting. Laumer was his successor and Siviard, another successor, wrote the Vita.
