Agaricomycetes
The Agaricomycetes are a class of fungi in the division Basidiomycota. The taxon is roughly identical to that defined for the Homobasidiomycetes (alternatively called holobasidiomycetes) by Hibbett & Thorn, with the inclusion of Auriculariales and Sebacinales. It includes not only mushroom-forming fungi, but also most species placed in the deprecated taxa Gasteromycetes and Homobasidiomycetes. Within the subdivision Agaricomycotina, which already excludes the smut and rust fungi, the Agaricomycetes can be further defined by the exclusion of the classes Tremellomycetes and Dacrymycetes, which a
Agaricomycetidae
Agaricomycetidae is a subclass of fungi, in the division Basidiomycota. The name Agaricomycetidae had previously been named by Marcel Locquin in 1984, but his publication did not contain a Latin diagnosis and it is therefore invalid under the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants. It was subsequently validly published by Erast Parmasto in 1986.
Phallomycetidae
Phallomycetidae is a subclass of the class Agaricomycetes of fungi.
Geastrales
The Geastrales are an order of gasterocarpic basidiomycetes (fungi) that are related to the Gomphales. The order contains the families Geastraceae—which include the "earthstars" formerly placed in Lycoperdales or Phallales,—and also Schenellaceae, Sclerogastraceae and Sphaerobolaceae.
Jaapia
thumb | right | Jaapia argillacea Jaapia is a genus in the monotypic family Jaapiaceae and order Jaapiales. The genus was first described by Italian mycologist Giacomo Bresadola in 1911, and contains two widely distributed species, J. argillacea and J. ochroleuca. The order was described in 2010.
Resinicium
Resinicium is a genus of crust fungi of uncertain placement in the class Agaricomycetes. The genus was circumscribed by Estonian mycologist Erast Parmasto in 1968.

Peniophorella
Peniophorella is a genus of fungus belonging to the Agaricomycetes class; it has not been assigned to an order or a family. It contains 27 species. The genus was documented in 1889 by Finnish mycologist Petter Adolf Karsten.

Galzinia
Galzinia is a genus of fungi in the class Agaricomycetes. Basidiocarps (fruit bodies) are thin, effused, corticioid, and typically occur on rotten, fallen wood. Molecular research, based on cladistic analysis of DNA sequences, suggests the genus may be polyphyletic. The type species has not yet been sequenced, but Galzinia longibasidia belongs in the Polyporales.

Sclerogaster
The Sclerogastraceae are a family of fungi in the order Geastrales. The family contains the single genus Sclerogaster, which contains 10 species found in Europe and America. The genus was circumscribed by botanist Rudolf Hesse in 1891.

Tremellodendropsis
Tremellodendropsis is a genus of clavarioid fungi in the family Tremellodendropsidaceae. Species are distinguished microscopically by having partly septate basidia, a feature that led to their former placement within the Auriculariales or Tremellales. Molecular research, based on cladistic analysis of DNA sequences, has, however, shown that they form a distinct group within the Agaricomycetes.
Lycoperdales
The Lycoperdales are a now outdated order of fungi. The order included some well-known types such as the giant puffball, the earthstars, and other tuberous fungi. They were defined as having epigeous basidiomes, a hymenium present, one to three layers in the peridium (outer wall), powdery gleba, and brown spores.
Ceraceopsis
Ceraceopsis is a fungal genus in the class Agaricomycetes. It has not yet been placed in any order or family. A monotypic genus, it contains the single corticioid species Ceraceopsis verruculosa, found growing on dead deciduous wood in Venezuela. The type collection was made in June 1997, in Yutajé (Amazonas State). Ceraceopsis was circumscribed by mycologists Kurt Hjortstam and Leif Ryvarden in 2007.
Phlyctibasidium
Phlyctibasidium is a fungal genus of uncertain taxonomic placement in the Agaricomycetes. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single corticioid species Phlyctibasidium polyporoideum.
Stereopsidaceae
The Stereopsidales are an order of fungi in the class Agaricomycetes. There is a single family, Stereopsidaceae. It was first described in 2014 to contain the genera Stereopsis, which was until then classified in the order Polyporales, and Clavulicium, which was until then classified in the order Cantharellales. Molecular phylogenetics analysis showed these two genera to belong together in their own order. This order might belong in the subclass Phallomycetidae, but this relationship was poorly supported. The Stereopsidales contain corticoid fungi (Clavulicium and Stereopsis) and stalked, funn
