Tatamailau
Tatamailau (Tetum: Foho Tatamailau), or Tata Mailau, also Mount Ramelau, is the highest point in Timor-Leste and also of Timor island at . The mountain is located approximately south of the capital Dili in the district of Ainaro. While East Timor was a Portuguese colony, it was considered the highest mountain of Portugal in the twentieth century, since the highest mountain of Portugal proper is of a more modest height.

Maubisse (Maubesse, Mau-Bessi, Maobisse, Maubise) is a historic town in the hills 70 km south of Dili, in Ainaro Municipality, Timor-Leste. It is a popular tourist destination and a weekend visiting spot for people from the capital. The suco has 6,229 inhabitants (2015).
