Swift recorded it in Sweden with the producers Max Martin and Shellback, during the European leg of the Eras Tour in mid-2024. Inspired by the tour and her romantic relationship with the football player Travis Kelce, she conceived The Life of a Showgirl as a vibrant and lively album that reflected her triumphant state of mind.
