Asenovgrad
Asenovgrad ( ) is a town in central southern Bulgaria, part of Plovdiv Province. It is the largest town in Bulgaria that is not a province center. Previously known as Stanimaka (; ), it was renamed in 1934 after the 13th-century tsar Ivan Asen II.

Mavrud (, from Greek, μαυρό (mavró), "black") is a red wine grape that is used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines, indigenous to the Balkan region. It is grown in the Thrace region of Bulgaria, in some regions of Albania, as well as some regions of Greece and Romania.
