Kleppestø
Kleppestø is the administrative centre of Askøy Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the southern coast of the island of Askøy. The village of Florvåg lies just north of Kleppestø and the village of Strusshamn lies to the west. Kleppestø is connected to the city of Bergen by the Askøy Bridge.
Midhordland
Midhordland is a traditional district in the Vestlandet region of Norway. It consists of the central-west portion of the old Hordaland county (now part of Vestland county), mostly including the islands and coastal fjord areas surrounding (and including) the Bergen Peninsula. It includes the city of Bergen and the surrounding municipalities of Askøy, Austevoll, Bjørnafjorden, Samnanger, and Øygarden. The region is dominated by its largest city, Bergen, which is also the second largest city in the country.

Hjeltefjorden
Hjeltefjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. The long fjord runs north–south between many islands leading from the open ocean to the city of Bergen. It passes through the municipalities of Fedje, Øygarden, Alver, and Askøy. Its name is derived from Hjaltland, the Old Norse name for Shetland. The main shipping routes from Bergen to Shetland ran through Hjeltefjorden.
Strusshamn
Strusshamn is an urban village in Askøy Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village lies along the Byfjorden on the southern coast of the island of Askøy, just west of the large urban village of Kleppestø. Strusshamn is one of the cultural centers of the municipality, and it is the site of the main church for the municipality, Strusshamn Church.

Askevatnet is a lake in Askøy Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The lake lies just northeast of the village of Ask on the eastern side of the island of Askøy. The lake is regulated by a small dam on the southeastern part of the lake.
Herdlefjorden
Herdlefjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. The long fjord runs between the islands of Holsnøy (in Alver Municipality) and Askøy (in Askøy Municipality). The fjord connects with the Salhusfjorden and the Byfjorden on the southeast end and it flows out into the Hjeltefjorden on the northwest end of the fjord. The fjord is named after the island of Herdla, located at the northern end of the fjord.

Follese is a village in Askøy Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Askøy about northwest of the village of Strusshamn and about west of the village of Kleppestø. As of 2017, Follese had 2539 inhabitants including the area of Hetlevik to the north.

Kolbeinsvarden (sometimes called Askøyfjellet) is a mountain in Askøy Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The tall mountain lies near the southeastern coast of the island of Askøy, just north of the village of Kleppestø. The mountain is traditionally considered to be one of De syv fjell () that surround the city of Bergen.
