biostatistics
Biostatistics (sometimes referred to as biometry) is a branch of statistics that applies statistical methods to a wide range of topics in the biological sciences, with a focus on clinical medicine and public health applications.
The field encompasses the design of experiments, the collection and analysis of experimental and observational data, and the interpretation of the results.
It is closely related to medical statistics.

measures of observational error
relative risk
in statistics and epidemiology
sex ratio
ratio of males to females in a population
cohort
in statistics, marketing and demography, a group of subjects who share a defining characteristic
receiver operating characteristic
performance of a binary classifier system as its discrimination threshold is varied
sensitivity and specificity
statistical measures of the performance of a binary classification test

BMDP
BMDP was a statistical package developed in 1965 by Wilfrid Dixon at the University of California, Los Angeles. The acronym stands for Bio-Medical Data Package, the word package was added by Dixon as the software consisted of a series of programs (subroutines) which performed different parametric and nonparametric statistical analyses.
