borazine
Borazine, also known as borazole, inorganic benzene, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula B3H6N3. In this cyclic compound, the three BH units and three NH units alternate. The compound is isoelectronic and isostructural with benzene. For this reason borazine is sometimes referred to as “inorganic benzene”. Like benzene, borazine is a colourless liquid with an aromatic odor.

borabenzene
Borabenzene is a hypothetical organoboron compound with the formula C5H5B. Unlike the related but highly stable benzene molecule, borabenzene would be electron-deficient. Related derivatives are the boratabenzene anions, including the parent [C5H5BH]−.

boroxine
Boroxine () is a 6-membered heterocyclic compound composed of alternating oxygen and singly-hydrogenated boron atoms. Boroxine derivatives (boronic anhydrides) such as trimethylboroxine and triphenylboroxine also make up a broader class of compounds called boroxines. These compounds are solids that are usually in equilibrium with their respective boronic acids at room temperature. Beside being used in theoretical studies, boroxine is primarily used in the production of optics.

borole
Boroles represent a class of molecules known as metalloles, which are heterocyclic 5-membered rings. As such, they can be viewed as structural analogs of cyclopentadiene, pyrrole or furan, with boron replacing a carbon, nitrogen and oxygen atom respectively. They are isoelectronic with the cyclopentadienyl cation or abbreviated as and comprise four π electrons. Although Hückel's rule cannot be strictly applied to borole, it is considered to be antiaromatic due to having 4 π electrons. As a result, boroles exhibit unique electronic properties not found in other metalloles.
borirane
Borirane is a heterocyclic organic compound with the formula C2H4BH. This colourless, flammable gas is the simplest borirane, a three-membered ring consisting of two carbon and one boron atom. It can be viewed as a structural analog of aziridine, with boron replacing the nitrogen atom of aziridine. Borirane is isomeric with ethylideneborane.
1,2-Dihydro-1,2-azaborine
1,2-Dihydro-1,2-azaborine is an aromatic chemical compound with properties intermediate between benzene and borazine. Its chemical formula is CBNH. It resembles a benzene ring, except that two adjacent carbons are replaced by nitrogen and boron, respectively. Several other 1,2-azaborines have been synthesized.
Borepin
thumb|rightBorepins are a class of boron-containing heterocycles used in main group chemistry. They consist of a seven-membered unsaturated ring with a tricoordinate boron in it. Simple borepins are analogues of cycloheptatriene, which is a seven-membered ring containing three carbon-carbon double bonds, each of which contributes 2π electrons for a total of 6π electrons. Unlike other seven-membered systems such as silepins and phosphepins, boron has a vacant p-orbital that can interact with the π and π* orbitals of the cycloheptatriene. boromycin
Boromycin is a bacteriocidal polyether-macrolide antibiotic. It was initially isolated from the Streptomyces antibioticus, and is notable for being the first natural product found to contain the element boron. It is effective against most gram-positive bacteria, but is ineffective against gram-negative bacteria. Boromycin kills bacteria by negatively affecting the cytoplasmic membrane, resulting in the loss of potassium ions from the cell. Boromycin has not been approved as a drug for medical use.

Autoinducer-2 (AI-2) is a furanosyl borate diester or tetrahydroxy furan (species dependent) that—as the name suggests—is an autoinducer, a member of a family of signaling molecules used in quorum sensing. AI-2 is one of only a few known biomolecules incorporating boron. First identified in the marine bacterium Vibrio harveyi, AI-2 is produced and recognized by many Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. AI-2 arises by the reaction of 4,5-dihydroxy-2,3-pentanedione, which is produced enzymatically, with boric acid and is recognized by the two-component sensor kinase LuxPQ in Vibrionaceae.

Boratabenzene, sometimes called borinate, is the heteroaromatic anion with the formula [C5H5BH]−.
