Loughborough is the administrative centre of Charnwood Borough Council and according to the United Kingdom 2021 census, the town's built-up area had a population of 64,884.

Queniborough
Queniborough is an English village in the county of Leicestershire 1.1 miles (1.8 km) north-east of the town of Syston and of 6.2 miles (10 km) north-east of the city of Leicester. Its 972 properties housed 1,878 registered electors in 2003. The population increased to 2,326 at the 2011 census. It forms part of the Leicester Urban Area due to its proximity. The parish church of St Mary's has, according to the architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner, "one of the finest spires in the whole of Leicestershire".

It is in the old Charnwood Forest, between Cropston, Woodhouse and Woodhouse Eaves. It has a village hall, a parish church and a public house, the Griffin Inn. The village is known for the slate that was quarried in the area.

Ulverscroft is a civil parish in the Charnwood district of Leicestershire. It has a population of about 100. The population in 2011 is included in the civil parish of Newtown Linford.
