Mandoca
A mandoca is a Venezuelan deep fried, ring-shaped food, made with a mix of plantains and cornmeal. It is usually served at breakfast, with butter, cheese and coffee. and it is most popular in Zulia and Falcón states of the country. Mandocas are one of a variety of specialties exclusively created in Zulia.

Bappir was a Sumerian twice-baked barley bread that was primarily used in ancient Mesopotamian beer brewing. Historical research done at Anchor Brewing Co. in 1989 (documented in Charlie Papazian's ''Home Brewer's Companion'' ()) reconstructed a bread made from malted barley and barley flour with honey, spices and water and baked until hard enough to store for long periods of time; the finished product was probably crumbled and mixed with water, malt and either dates or honey and allowed to ferment for a few days, producing a somewhat sweet brew. Medfouna
Medfouna (, "buried"; ), also known as "Berber pizza" or "desert pizza", is a Berber and Moroccan cuisine, rustic dish from the Middle Atlas of Morocco. It is prepared from a round-shaped dough that is stuffed and baked over a wood fire, soft inside and crispy outside. Unlike pizza, Medfouna consists of two layers of dough: one at the bottom and one on top that covers the filling. It is typically served along with a glass of Moroccan mint tea.
