The administrative unit of Shishtavec contains the villages Borje, Oreshkë, Cërnalevë and Shishtavec which are populated by the Muslim Slavic-speaking Gorani people, whereas the villages of Novosej, Kollovoz and Shtrezë are inhabited by Albanians.
