Dijon (, ; ; Burgundian: Digion) is a city in and the prefecture of the Côte-d'Or department and of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France. As of 2023, the population of the commune was 161,830, making it the most populous commune in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

Mâcon (), historically anglicised as Mascon, is a city in east-central France. It is the prefecture of the department of Saône-et-Loire in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Mâcon is home to about 35,000 residents, who are referred to in French as Mâconnais. The city gave its name to the nearby vineyards and wine AOC.

Beaune (; in Burgundian: Beane) is a town in eastern France widely considered the wine capital of Burgundy, in the Côte-d'Or department. It is between Lyon and Dijon. Beaune is one of France's key wine centers and a major hub of Burgundy wine production and business. The Hospices de Beaune's annual wine auction is the primary wine auction in France.
