The company offers app-based transportation and related services, including ride-hailing, taxi services, bike sharing and vehicle leasing. It also operates in areas such as food delivery, automobile services, and electric vehicle development. DiDi was founded in 2012 by Cheng Wei and initially launched as a taxi-hailing app under the name Didi Dache.

BlaBlaCar is a French online marketplace for carpooling headquartered in Paris. Its website and mobile apps connect drivers and passengers willing to travel together between cities and share the cost of the journey, in exchange for a commission of between 18% and 21%. It also operates BlaBlaCar Bus, an intercity bus service. The platform has 26 million active members and is available in Europe and Latin America.
Zipcar
Zipcar is an American car-sharing company and a subsidiary of Avis Budget Group. Zipcar gives members access to book cars nearby by the hour or day. Members may have to pay a monthly or annual membership fee in addition to car reservations charges. Gas, maintenance, insurance options, and a dedicated parking spot are included. The Witkar (Dutch, ) was one of the first technology-based carsharing projects in the world. It is the invention of Dutch social inventor and politician Luud Schimmelpennink, an industrial designer and at the time Amsterdam city councillor. The project was opened by minister Irene Vorrink on 21 March 1974.
