Beauveria
Beauveria is a genus of asexually-reproducing fungi allied with the ascomycete family Cordycipitaceae. Its several species are typically insect pathogens. The sexual states (teleomorphs) of Beauveria species, where known, are species of Cordyceps .

species of fungus
Metarhizium
Metarhizium is a genus of entomopathogenic fungi in the family Clavicipitaceae. With the advent of genetic profiling, placing these fungi in proper taxa has now become possible. Most turn out to be the asexual forms (anamorphs) of fungi in the phylum Ascomycota, including Metacordyceps spp.

Heteroepichloë is a genus of fungi within the Clavicipitaceae family.
Ustilaginoidea
Ustilaginoidea is a genus of fungi in the family Clavicipitaceae. The genus contains 19 species. Ustilaginoidea was circumscribed by German botanist Julius Oscar Brefeld in 1895, with Ustilaginoidea oryzae assigned as the type species. Ustilaginoidea virens causes the disesase known alternatively as rice false smut, pseudosmut, or green smut.

Pochonia
Pochonia is a genus of fungi within the order Hypocreales and is described as anamorphic Metacordyceps; eight species are described. Previously placed in the genus Verticillium, these fungi are known to be pathogenic to nematodes and are being developed and commercialized as biological pesticides.

Moelleriella is a genus of fungi within the family Clavicipitaceae.
Aciculosporium
Aciculosporium is a genus of fungi in the family Clavicipitaceae. Species of this genus cause witches' broom of bamboo in East Asia. Aciculosporium take grows intercellularly in witches' broom shoots, including shoot apical meristems. The stroma are produced around the apex of the host shoots.
