Siekiera (Polish for "Axe") was a Polish post-punk band. With fast, aggressive music and lyrics filled with obscenities, the band was a sensation at the 1984 Jarocin Festival. After lineup changes, the band switched to new wave and then dissolved in 1988.
TR/ST
TR/ST (previously known as Trust) is the Canadian electronic music project of Robert Alfons. It was formed as a band in 2010 when Alfons met Maya Postepski of Austra, but Postepski left in 2012. The project has released five albums: TRST (2012), Joyland (2014), The Destroyer (Part 1), The Destroyer (Part 2) (2019), and Performance (2024). Alfons has also produced remixes for Feist, Moby, Zhala, and Jonna Lee.
Variété
Variété is a new-wave and cold-wave band from Poland, considered the leading pioneers of that genre in 1980s. The group is continually evolving and their music can be now described as an original blend of jazz, minimal and trip-hop.
