Associated with Lviv's knajpa lifestyle, batiary became a cultural phenomenon at the beginning of the twentieth century, although their roots go back to the mid-nineteenth century, when Lviv was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The LvivMozArt festival is an annual international classical music festival held in Lviv and Brody, and their surroundings, in Ukraine. It is named in honor of Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart, son of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who lived in Lviv from 1808 to 1838.

Ossoliński National Institute
Ossoliński National Institute (, ZNiO), or the Ossolineum is a Polish cultural foundation, publishing house, archival institute and a research centre of national significance founded in 1817 in Lwów (now Lviv). Located in the city of Wrocław since 1947, it is the second largest institution of its kind in Poland after the ancient Jagiellonian Library in Kraków. Its publishing arm is the oldest continuous imprint in Polish since the early 19th century. It bears the name of its founder, Polish nobleman, Count Józef Maksymilian Ossoliński (1748-1826).

LISFF Wiz-Art is an annual International Short Film Festival, which takes place in Lviv, Ukraine at the end of July. The festival was started by art formation Wiz-Art, which was founded in 2008. The festival shows more than 100 brand new short movies every year. Wiz-Art is a powerful cultural and educational platform that unites Ukrainian and foreign filmmakers and introduces them to the Ukrainian audience experienced professionals. The festival has also premiered films featured as part of the Brussels Short Film Festival, in addition to collaborating with other festival programs.

Zaxidfest ( ; previously known as Zaxid, from ) is an annual international music and art festival held in the middle of August in Lviv Oblast, western Ukraine. Zaxid was founded in 2009 as a festival of Ukrainian rock and ethno music. Later it has lost an attachment to some concrete music genre and was expanded by different foreign artists (including Anti-Flag, Caliban, Clawfinger, Ektomorf, Everlast, Ill Niño, Kreator, Oomph!, Zdob și Zdub and others).
