tench
The tench or doctor fish (Tinca tinca) is a fresh- and brackish-water fish of the order Cypriniformes found throughout Eurasia from Western Europe including Britain and Ireland east into Asia as far as the Ob and Yenisei Rivers. It is also found in Lake Baikal. It normally inhabits slow-moving freshwater habitats, particularly lakes and lowland rivers.
Tanichthys
Tanichthys is a genus of freshwater fish. It is the only genus in the family Tanichthyidae in the order Cypriniformes. They are native to rivers and streams in China and Vietnam. Until recently, the type species, T. albonubes, was the only one known. In 2001, however, Jörg Freyhof and Fabian Herder described a new and very similar species, T. micagemmae, from the Ben Hai River in Vietnam, and Nguyễn Văn Hảo and Ngô Sy Van described a third species from Vietnam.
Cyprinoidei
Cyprinoidei is a suborder, or superfamily, of primarily pelagic, freshwater ray-finned fishes within the larger order Cypriniformes. Many fishes in this group, which are readily found in aquaculture due to their hardiness, include the carps, danionins, and minnows.
