Chabua
Chabua ( or ) is a town and a town area committee in Dibrugarh district in the state of Assam, India. Chabua is situated between Dibrugarh town and Tinsukia town on NH-37. It is from both the district towns, respectively. Its name derives from Chah (tea) and bua (plantation). It is also known as the motherland of tea, because Chabua was the first town in India where tea cultivars were planted.
Naharkatiya
Naharkatia (previously spelt as Naharkatiya or Nahorkatiya) is a town and a Municipal board in Dibrugarh district in the Indian state of Assam. It is well known for petroleum and gas reserves. Earlier, Duliajan, the head office town of Oil India Limited was in its circle. However, the towns are close, within a 30-minute journey.
