Zile
Zile, known in ancient times as Zela () (still as Latin Catholic titular see), is a city in Tokat Province, Turkey. It is the seat of Zile District. Its population is 33,557 (2022). Zile lies to the south of Amasya and the west of Tokat in north-central Turkey. The city has a long history, including as former bishopric and the site of the Battle of Zela, which prompted the phrase "Veni, vidi, vici." Today the city is a center for agricultural marketing and tourism.

Its name is a transference from Alashkert (), the valley's former administrative centre but now a village known as Toprakkale. It was known as Vagharshakert in medieval sources. At the time of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877–1878 approximately half of the population consisted of Armenians and the rest of Kurds and Turks.

İdil
İdil (, or Beth Zabday, , ) is a city and seat of the İdil District of the Şırnak Province in Turkey. It is located in the historical region of Tur Abdin. The town had a population of 30,271 in 2021 and is composed of Kurds of the Domanan, Dorikan, Harunan, Meman and Omerkan tribes. The town was once home to a large number of Assyrians/Syriacs, however, only a few families remain today.

The town was named after a Turkish chieftain of the 14th century CE who captured the area for the Ottoman Empire, and sports a statue in his honor. Formerly known as Boğazköy ("Gorge Village"), Boghaz Keui or Boghazköy, this small town (basically one street of shops) sits in a rural area on the road from Çorum to Yozgat.
