Kooikerhondje
The Kooikerhondje is a small spaniel-type dog breed of Dutch ancestry that was originally used as a working dog, particularly in a decoy to lure ducks. The breed dates back to the 16th century and makes frequent appearances in paintings from the Dutch Golden Age.
Stabijhoun
The Stabyhoun, or Stabijhoun or Stabij (in Frisian), is one of the rarest dog breeds in the world. It hails from the Dutch province of Friesland; its origins lie in the forested region of eastern and southeastern Friesland. The breed has been mentioned in Dutch literature dating back to the early 1800s, but it was not until the 1960s that the breed became known outside its native province; the first Stabyhouns left the Netherlands some decades later, in the 2000s. Dutch Tulip Dog
A Markiesje (), also known as Dutch Tulip Dog, is believed to be an old dog breed. On several paintings dating from the 17th and 18th century a small, black dog resembling a Markiesje can be seen. However, the Markiesjeas currently knownhas only been bred actively since the mid 1970s.
