Dogville
Dogville is a 2003 experimental arthouse drama film written and directed by Lars von Trier. It features an ensemble cast led by Nicole Kidman, Lauren Bacall, Paul Bettany, Chloë Sevigny, Stellan Skarsgård, Udo Kier, Ben Gazzara, Patricia Clarkson, Harriet Andersson, and James Caan, with John Hurt as the narrator. The film employs an extremely minimal, stage-like set to tell the story of Grace Mulligan (Kidman), a woman on the run from mobsters who finds refuge in the tiny mountain town of Dogville, Colorado, in exchange for physical labor.

Manderlay
Manderlay is a 2005 avant-garde drama film written and directed by Lars von Trier, the second and most recent part of von Trier's projected USA – Land of Opportunities trilogy. Unlike von Trier's other trilogies, the films' stories are connected and it is a direct sequel to Dogville. It stars Bryce Dallas Howard, who replaces Nicole Kidman in the role of Grace Mulligan. Mindhunters is a 2004 crime slasher film directed by Renny Harlin and starring Kathryn Morris, LL Cool J, Jonny Lee Miller, Patricia Velásquez, Clifton Collins Jr., Christian Slater and Val Kilmer.
