Loughton () is a town and civil parish in the Epping Forest District of Essex, England. It is inside the M25 London orbital motorway but lies just outside the administrative boundary of Greater London. It lies north-east of Charing Cross in central London. The parish has two stations on the Central line of the London Underground: Loughton and Debden. At the 2021 census the parish had a population of 33,346.

The Stort Navigation to the west has a lock at Sheering Mill. Lower Sheering, adjacent to Sawbridgeworth in Hertfordshire and its railway station, forms part of the civil parish. At the 2021 census the parish had a population of 3,133.

Lambourne is a civil parish in the Epping Forest district of Essex, England. It is located approximately 4.5 miles (7 km) south of Epping and 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Romford. The small settlement of Lambourne itself comprises just the parish church and a couple of houses. The largest settlement in the parish is the village of Abridge, and the parish also includes the hamlet of Lambourne End. At the 2021 census the parish had a population of 2,051.

As well as the small village of Nazeing itself the parish also includes surrounding rural areas and the larger village of Lower Nazeing. The Prime Meridian passes to the west of Lower Nazeing. At the 2021 census the parish had a population of 4,799, of which 3,740 lived in the built up area of Lower Nazeing.

Greensted
Greensted is a small village in the civil parish of Ongar, in the Epping Forest District of Essex, England. It was formerly a separate civil parish, but was merged into Ongar in 1965. It remains an ecclesiastical parish under the name Greensted-juxta-Ongar. The small settlement of Greensted itself is on Greensted Road, approximately to the west of Chipping Ongar; a little further west is Greensted Green. Greensted Church is reputedly one of the oldest surviving wooden churches in the world, dating back to Saxon times.
