Kaiju (from , ), or giant movie monster, are terms used in film and media for monsters, and the like, of enormous size, mainly belonging to a designated genre, known as kaiju movies, or giant monster movies, where they are usually depicted attacking major cities, and battling either the military or other creatures, mixing creature features with the disaster film genre, but also often involving science fiction. Rodan
is a giant pteranodon-like monster, or daikaijū, which first appeared in the eponymous 1956 film, directed by Ishirō Honda and produced and distributed by Toho. Following its standalone debut, Rodan went on to be featured in numerous entries in the Godzilla franchise. Rodan is depicted as a colossal, prehistoric, irradiated species of Pteranodon. In 2014, IGN ranked Rodan as #6 on its "Top 10 Japanese Movie Monsters" list, while Complex listed the character as #15 on its "The 15 Most Badass Kaiju Monsters of All Time" list.

Goombas (), known in Japan as and originally Little Goomba, are a fictional species and enemy from Nintendo's Mario franchise. They first appeared in the NES video game Super Mario Bros. as the first enemy players encounter, part of Bowser's army. There are multiple variants of Goombas, including Paragoombas and Cat Goombas, as well as offshoots like Galoombas and Goombrats. There have also been non-antagonistic Goombas in the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi series. They have appeared outside video games, including in film and television.

Nyarlathotep is a fictional character created by H. P. Lovecraft. The character is a malign deity in the Cthulhu Mythos, a shared universe. First appearing in Lovecraft's 1920 prose poem "Nyarlathotep", he was later mentioned in other works by Lovecraft and by other writers, to the point of often being considered the main antagonist of the Cthulhu Mythos as a whole. Henry Creel, better known as Vecna, One, or Mr. Whatsit, is a fictional character and the main antagonist of the Netflix science fiction horror television series Stranger Things. He is portrayed by Jamie Campbell Bower. The character was introduced in the fourth season as a malevolent being from the Upside Down, a mirroring alternate dimension, that haunts his victims with horrifying visions of their past traumas before killing them in a sadistic, brutal manner. is a yōkai depicted in the Konjaku Gazu Zoku Hyakki (1779) by Toriyama Sekien. As its name implies, it depicts this yōkai as a woman in the form of bones.

Morlocks are one of the two fictional species of post-humans conceived by H. G. Wells for his 1895 novel The Time Machine (the other being the Eloi). The origin of the names is not established (with regard to Wells' inspiration or inspirations). In the Wells' story, the Morlocks are the novel's main antagonists. Headcrabs are an alien race found in the Half-Life series of video games, originating in 1998's Half-Life. It is a creature that attacks people, trying to latch onto their face. Upon doing so, it begins to take control of their motor functions, turning them into zombie-like creatures that appear to retain their intelligence and emotions despite lacking the ability to express them in this state. Toriel is a character introduced in the 2015 role-playing video game Undertale, acting as the first area boss. A motherly figure created as an embodiment of excessive video game tutorials, she is a member of the monster race and has hanging ears, small horns, white fur, and a purple robe.
