Kaadhalan () is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language romantic thriller film directed by Shankar and produced by K. T. Kunjumon, who co-wrote the story. The film stars Prabhu Deva and Nagma (in her debut in Tamil cinema), alongside Vadivelu, Raghuvaran, Girish Karnad and S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. In the film, a college student falls in love with the daughter of the state governor, but soon becomes embroiled in a conspiracy involving the governor.

Kartoos () is a 1999 Indian Hindi action thriller film directed by Mahesh Bhatt and starring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala. It was the last release of Mahesh Bhatt as a director until the release of Sadak 2 (2020). The film borrows its plot idea from the 1993 film Point of No Return, which in turn is a remake of the French film La Femme Nikita, where Bridget Fonda essays a role which is very similar to that character of Sanjay Dutt.

Khauff (translation: Fear) is a 2000 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Sanjay Gupta, starring Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala. It was an unofficial remake of the American film The Juror. It was released on 3 March 2000.

Athadu () is a 2005 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Jayabheri Arts. The film stars Mahesh Babu as a hitman hired to stage the assassination of a politician, only to be framed for the actual murder, forcing him to assume a new identity while evading the law. The supporting cast includes Trisha, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj, Nassar, Sunil, Sayaji Shinde, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Brahmanandam. The music was composed by Mani Sharma, while K. V.
