Yuva () is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language political action drama film written, produced, and directed by Mani Ratnam. It stars Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, and Esha Deol. Panjaa () is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film directed by Vishnuvardhan (in his Telugu film directorial debut), produced by Arka Media Works and Sanghamitra Art Productions. The film stars Pawan Kalyan, Sarah-Jane Dias, Anjali Lavania, Jackie Shroff, Adivi Sesh, Atul Kulkarni, Sampath Raj, Subbaraju and Tanikella Bharani. The plot centers around Jai, a loyal henchman for a gangster, who is forced to go on the run after a botched mission leads him to kill his boss's son in response to a violent atrocity.

The film received positive reviews from critics. Srijit Mukherji won the National Film Award for Best Direction at India's 62nd National Film Awards.

Rajkahini ( Tale of Kings, can also be called Tale of the Raj) is an Indian Bengali-language epic period action drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji. The shooting of the film was completed in June 2015 and the film was released on 16 October 2015. The film has an ensemble cast of eleven major female characters led by Rituparna Sengupta and also stars Saswata Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Jisshu Sengupta, Abir Chatterjee and Jaya Ahsan in other pivotal roles. The film was a critical and commercial success. It has since then been remade in Hindi by Mukherji as Begum Jaan.
