It is inspired by journalist Jigna Vora’s book Bano: Bharat ki Beti which is based on the landmark Supreme Court judgement of Mohd. Ahmed Khan v. Shah Bano Begum. The film’s screenplay was written by Reshu Nath, with music composed by Vishal Mishra, cinematography by Pratham Mehta and editing by Ninad Khanolkar.
