The tidal whirlpool system known as Moskstraumen, one of the strongest in the world, is located between Moskenesøya's Lofoten Point and the island of Mosken.

Fredvang is a village in Flakstad Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago. The village is fairly isolated with the Fredvang Bridges being the only road connection to the village from the rest of Norway.

Solbjørnvatnet is a lake in Flakstad Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The lake is located on the northern part of the island of Moskenesøya, less than west of the European route E10 highway. The mountain Klokktinden lies on the southern shore of the lake.
