Randsfjorden
Randsfjorden is Norway's fourth-largest lake with an area of . Its volume is estimated at just over , and its greatest depth is . The lake is located at an elevation of above sea level. It is located in Innlandet and Akershus counties in the municipalities of Gran, Jevnaker, Nordre Land, and Søndre Land in the traditional districts of Land and Hadeland. It is drained by the Randselva river.

The lake Randsfjorden (Norway's fourth largest lake) lies about west of Jaren. The village of Brandbu lies about to the northwest, while the villages of Ringstad and Gran lie about to the southeast.

Lushaugen
Lushaugen is a mountain in southern Norway. It is located on the border of Gran Municipality in Innlandet county and Hurdal Municipality in Akershus county. The tall mountain is located about northeast of the village of Jaren and about the same distance to the east of the village of Brandbu. Norwegian National Road 4 is a north–south highway that passes a short distance to the west of the mountain.
