Namsen
or is one of the longest rivers in Trøndelag county, in the central part of Norway. The long river flows through the municipalities of Røyrvik, Namsskogan, Grong, Overhalla, and Namsos before emptying into the Namsenfjorden. The river is the namesake for the whole Namdalen region. The river traditionally has been used for floating timber down from the forests to the town of Namsos, where the sawmills were located. Today, parts of the Namsen are regulated by several dams.

Grong
Medjå or Grong is a village which serves as the administrative center of Grong Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located along the river Namsen, at the confluence with the river Sanddøla. The Nordland Line railway runs along the eastern part of the village, stopping at Grong Station. The European route E6 highway runs through the western edge of the village. Grong Church, the main church for the area, is also located in this village.

Bangsjøan
Bangsjøan is a man-made lake in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located along the borders of the municipalities of Snåsa, Grong, Overhalla, and Steinkjer. The lake lies about north of the lake Snåsavatnet and about northwest of the village of Snåsa. The lake was created by the building of a dam which cause the water level of three neighboring lakes to rise and flow together into one large lake. The dam is located on what is now the northwestern side of the lake.

Bergsmo
Bergsmoen is a village in Grong Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located about west of Medjå, the municipal center of Grong. The village lies close to the river Namsen in the Namdalen valley and less than southeast from Eidsvatnet. It has a single bus stop in the village center.
