It is located right next to the village of Presteid on a small isthmus of land between the Kaldvågfjorden and the Presteidfjorden. The village is home to the Knut Hamsun Upper Secondary School, a museum, and cafe.

Skutvika or Skutvik is a small village in Hamarøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is situated at the southwestern extreme of the Hamarøya peninsula, about north of the town of Bodø, southwest of the town of Narvik, and south of the town of Svolvær. To the west and south of Skutvik is the Økssundet, a sound connecting the Sagfjorden and Vestfjorden. The landscape in the immediate vicinity of the village is dominated by hills, while further north a row of mountains rises up to above sea level.

thumb|right|Arran Árran is the Lule Sámi center in the village of Drag in Hamarøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The center was established in 1994 to foster and promote the Lule Sámi language and culture. It does this by arranging on-site and video conference courses in Lule Sámi, publishing books, and doing research. The center has a museum, a souvenir shop, and a Lule Sámi day-care center on its premises. One of the major projects that it was involved with was the Lule Sámi on-line course Sámasta and soon it will be publishing a Norwegian–Lule Sámi dictionary.

Hamarøyskaftet is a mountain in Hamarøy Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The mountain is a characteristic landmark of the region. It is located about west of the villages of Oppeid and Presteid and about north of the village of Skutvika. The mountain was first ascended by Martin Hoff Ekroll in 1885.
