Hinnøya
Hinnøya (Norwegian; ) is the fourth-largest island in Norway, and the largest outside the Svalbard archipelago. The lies just off the western coast of Northern Norway. The island sits on the border of Nordland and Troms counties. The western part of the island is in the district of Vesterålen, the southwestern part is in the Lofoten district, the southeastern part is in the Ofoten district, and the northeastern part is in Troms. , Hinnøya had a population of 32,688. The only town on the island is the town of Harstad. Some of the larger villages include Borkenes, Lødingen, Sigerfjord, and Sørvi

Grytøya
or is an island in Harstad Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The island lies just north of the large island of Hinnøya and south of the island of Bjarkøya. It is surrounded by the Vågsfjorden in the east and the Andfjorden in the west. The highest peak on the island is the tall mountain Nona. The population of Grytøya (2017) is 433. The southeastern part of the island is the most agriculturally productive.

Tjeldsundet
Tjeldsundet (Norwegian; ) is a strait in Northern Norway. The long strait is located between the island of Hinnøya and mainland Norway in its northern part and between Hinnøya and the island of Tjeldøya in its southern part. Tjeldsundet has been an important waterway for more than 1,000 years and was well known and used during the Viking Age.
Andfjorden
or is a fjord on the border of Nordland and Troms counties in Norway. It is located in Andøy Municipality, Senja Municipality, Harstad Municipality, and Kvæfjord Municipality. The fjord primarily flows between the large islands of Andøya and Senja. Grytøya and the smaller islands Bjarkøya and Krøttøya are located in the fjord. The main crossing is via the Andenes–Gryllefjord Ferry.

The village is located at the end of the Kasfjorden on the north side of Hinnøya island, about west of the town of Harstad and about south of the village of Elgsnes. The Kasfjordvatnet lake is located along the east side of the village.

Bjarkøya is an island in Harstad Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The island is located north of the island of Grytøya and northwest of the island of Sandsøya. The Andfjorden lies to the northwest and the Vågsfjorden lies to the southeast. The main church for the island is Bjarkøy Church in the village of Nergården. The island's population (2017) is 267.
Krøttøya
Krøttøya is an island in Harstad Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The island is the northernmost inhabited island in the Andfjorden. It is located in the Meløyvær archipelago, consisting of 365 small islands, with over 20 white-sand beaches. Several other islands are connected to Krøttøya by road, but the island group is only accessible by boat. Krøttøy is surrounded by the large islands of Senja to the east, Bjarkøya and Grytøya to the south, and Andøya to the west.

Kilbotn
Kilbotn is a village in Harstad Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The village is located about south of the center of the town of Harstad, along the Vågsfjorden on the east side of Hinnøya island. The villages of Fauskevåg and Sørvika are just a few kilometres to the south of Kilbotn. The population (2001) of the village is 332, but since 2002 it has been considered a part of the Harstad urban area.

Nupen

The tall mountain lies on the border of Kvæfjord Municipality and Harstad Municipality, about west of the town of Harstad. The peak of the mountain is in Harstad, but the mountain itself straddles the municipal border. The village of Bremnes lies just west of the mountain in Kvæfjord and the Andfjorden lies to the north. The mountain is known for its view of the midnight sun.

Gausvika or Gausvik is a village in Harstad Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is in the northeastern part of the large island of Hinnøya, along the Tjeldsundet Strait, about south of the town of Harstad. The European route E10 highway passes through the village, about south of the Tjeldsund Bridge. Gausvik Church is in the village.

Sandtorg is a village in Harstad Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located on the eastern shore of the large island of Hinnøya, on the shore of the Tjeldsundet. The village is located along the European route E10 highway in the southern part of the municipality. There are about 300 residents in the village area. The tall mountain Sætertinden is located northwest of the village of Sandtorg, along the border with Tjeldsund Municipality.
