Kyrksæterøra
Kyrksæterøra is the administrative center of Heim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village was known as the "white town of Hemnfjorden" at one time because there were only white houses. It is located at the end of Hemnfjorden, about southwest of the village of Holla. The villages of Hellandsjøen and Heim both lie to the north and the village of Vinjeøra lies to the south. Hemne Church is located in the village. Norwegian County Road 680 passes through the village. The newspaper Søvesten has been published in Kyrksæterøra since 1994.

Hemnfjorden
Hemnfjorden is a fjord in Trøndelag county in Norway. The long fjord forms the boundary between Heim Municipality, Hitra Municipality, and Orkland Municipality. The fjord begins at the village of Kyrksæterøra at the mouths of the rivers Søo and Haugaelva. The fjord flows northwards until it joins the Trondheimsleia. The Åstfjorden and Snillfjorden are smaller fjords which branch off the main Hemnfjorden to the east into Orkland Municipality. The deepest point in the fjord reaches below sea level.
Trondheimsleia
The Trondheimsleia is a strait in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. The long strait runs between the islands of Smøla and Hitra and the mainland municipalities of Aure, Heim, and Orkland. The strait has several fjords which branch off it including the Ramsøyfjorden, Hemnfjorden, and Trondheimsfjorden. The islands of Leksa are located in the Trondheimsleia in Orkland Municipality. The Hitra Tunnel is a road tunnel underneath the Trondheimsleia connecting the island of Hitra to the mainland.

Valsøybotnen
Valsøybotn is a village in Heim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located at the end of the Valsøyfjorden, about south of the village of Hjellnes and about southeast of the village of Liabøen. The area was once part of Valsøyfjord Municipality and later it was part of Halsa Municipality before becoming part of Heim Municipality in 2020.

Vasslivatnet () is a lake in Heim Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The lake lies along European route E39, about east of the village of Vinjeøra. The lake is a man-made lake along the river Søo. There is a dam on the west end that is part of a hydropower plant.

Halsafjorden () is a fjord located between Heim Municipality (in Trøndelag county) and Tingvoll Municipality (in Møre og Romsdal county), Norway. The long fjord branches south off the Vinjefjorden and stretches about until it becomes the Trongfjorden off which the Surnadalsfjorden later branches.

Snillfjorden is a fjord that branches off the main Hemnfjorden in Heim Municipality and Orkland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The long fjord starts at the village of Krokstadøra where the rivers Snildalselva and Bergselva empty into the fjord. The mouth of the Snillfjorden is at the village of Ytre Snillfjord where it joins the larger Hemnfjorden. Vinjeøra is a village in Heim Municipality, in the Trøndelag county of Norway. The village lies along the European route E39 highway, in particularly at the end of the Vinjefjorden and about south of the municipal center of Kyrksæterøra. The village has a population of almost 300 people and is located about from the city of Trondheim and about from the city of Kristiansund.

Vinjefjorden
Vinjefjorden () is a fjord in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. It begins at the village of Vinjeøra in Heim Municipality (in Trøndelag county) and flows west through the municipalities of Aure, Tingvoll, and Kristiansund (in Møre og Romsdal county). At its western end, it flows into the Talsjøen and Freifjorden. The Halsafjorden, Skålvik Fjord, and Valsøyfjorden all branch off of the long Vinjefjorden. The central part of the Vinjefjorden is called the Arasvikfjorden. European route E39 runs along the southern shore of the fjord for most of its length.

Arasvikfjorden () is a fjord on the border of Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. The fjord is located between Aure Municipality (in Møre og Romsdal) and Heim Municipality (in Trøndelag). The fjord is part of the larger Vinjefjorden, near where the Valsøyfjorden branches off to the south. European route E39 runs along the south shore of the fjord, through the village of Valsøyfjord. The ferry from Hennset to Arasvika crosses the fjord. The Arasvikfjorden is known for its fishery of cod, coalfish, pollock, mackerel, common ling, tusk, and several types of flatfish.
